Genealogy software which one is the best? What do I need in a software program?
Does the best one cost a fortune? Do I like simplicity or do I prefer more technology?
The above is just a few questions you may ask yourself before you start compiling a family history.
Before thinking about what program to put on your computer, it is best to start doing some ancestry and family history searching. There are some websites that will let you to print off some forms to use. Take a look at these forms, try two or three.
When you have filled in some of these forms you will have a better idea what software program you need.
Only you know whether you will like a program that has all the bells and whistles or if you want simplicity.
I prefer simplicity. I do not want to have to go to the help screen for every line I type or for every form or chart I want to fill in Ugh!
That said here are a few choices to look over.
