
St Louis Archives in Missouri is one branch of the National Archives U.S. While you search your family history and ancestry you will come across people in the military. Here is where
you order the military records starting with World War I to the present time.
From 1775 thru 1916 records must be ordered from The National Archives in Washington D. C.
You need form SF 180 to request any military record from St Louis or Washington.
Records include: Military personnel, health, and medical records of discharged and deceased veterans of all services during the 20th Century. Also Medical treatment records of retirees
from all services, as well as records for dependent and other persons treated at naval facilities.

St Louis Archives also houses Civilian Personnel Records, which include: Official Personnel Folders and Employee Medical Folders of seperated Federal civilian employees. The personnel
documents date back to the middle of the 19th century. Medical records of military family members treated at Army, Air Force and Coat Guard medical facilities.
